How to get to the Railway By Car: Bronwydd Arms is the point where you will find the Gwili Railway. Bronwydd is situated just off the A484 approximately 3 miles from the centre of Carmarthen. The Railway is well signposted with brown tourist signs from the A40, A484 and A485. Carmarthen is served by Arriva Trains Wales trains from Cardiff, Swansea and West Wales, www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk and First Great Western www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk from London. Onward travel to Bronwydd by taxi or bus. | |||||||||||||
By Bus/ Coach Carmarthen is served by First Cymru X11 (half hourly on weekdays) from the Swansea / Llanelli areas and by TrawsCambria service X40 from Aberystwyth (hourly) & Cardiff (twice daily).
The principal local bus service between Carmrthen bus and rail stations and Bronwydd is First Rout 460/461 (Carmarthen - Bronwydd - Cardigan), approximately hourly on Monday to Saturday or Richards Bros. X60 (two journeys) on Sunday.
Other bus services between Carmarthen and Bronwydd are the infrequent First / Morris Travel routes 215 and 441 (Carmarthen - Bronwydd - Llanpumsaint / Newcastle Emlyn).
